Matt Wagner

Senior Vice President, Global Policy and External Relations

Matt leads College Board’s work to advance policies and partnerships that further our mission. He oversees government relations, policy, advocacy, and workforce partnerships. Matt and his team are responsible for College Board’s work with elected officials, policymakers, employers, and philanthropic leaders. 

Matt’s previous roles at College Board include Chief of Staff and Interim President. He is a Teach for America alumnus who taught high school math in Thornton, Colorado. He earned bachelor’s degrees in government and journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
